Biography
Andrew originally worked as a Biomedical Scientist for 9 years before entering the teaching profession. His work in histopathology focussed on diagnosis and prognosis of tumours using electron microscopy and immunohistochemistry. Over the years Andrew has taught in secondary schools, a moderate learning difficulty school and primary schools across inner city Walsall and Birmingham before entering higher education. He is passionate about science and quality science teaching that introduces pupils to working scientifically from a young age.

Teaching Interests
Senior Lecturer Science specialist. Modules Andrew lectures on include; undergraduate BA (QTS) Primary Education and PGCE Primary (QTS) programmes, Foundation Degree for Teaching and Learning support assistants (supporting core skills) and Subject Knowledge Enhancement course for Chemistry. He is the Science Module leader for first and third year students on the BA (QTS) Primary Education programme.
Research Interests
Neuromuscular diseases and their impact on student learning and educational experience.
